Announcing the entertainment lineup for the 1st Annual CD Relief Concert on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the historic Oriental Theater in Northwest Denver. A VIP Donor/Artist/Performer meet and greet will be held from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm with the main concert beginning at 5:00 pm.
Emceed by Comedy Works/Animal Planet star Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald, the concert will feature an all-star line-up of local musicians including guests of honor Chris Daniels and the Kings with Freddi Gowdy (Freddi Henchi Band) and Jake Shroeder (Opie Gone Bad), supported by area greats Hazel Miller, Jock Bartley (Firefall), Something Underground, Tequila Mockingbird, Ironwood Rain, Dave Preston, and Demon Funkies.
“The concert is going to be incredible; we've got some of Denver's top singer-songwriters, recording artists, performers and legends on board doing original Colorado music that we all know and love. And Chris Daniels blazed that trail for many of them,” said Scott LaBarbera, Oriental Theater owner and booking manager.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The VIP Donor Pre-Party will feature food from area restaurants, an open bar, private concert with guitarist Dave Preston and media opportunities with the performers. Both the VIP and general concert admission will include a silent auction sponsored by The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities featuring art from local galleries and artists, a Be the Match bone marrow/stem cell donor screening program from Bonfils Blood Center, and admission to the general concert.
Advance VIP Donor tickets are $40, tickets for show-only are $20.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at www.theorientaltheater.com.
